In Garhi’s village lanes and studio blocks, tanks are drawn on at every hour — students, studios, PGs — so the water never rests and the sediment never shows. KaamGenie cleans what you can’t see. From ₹699.
Garhi is the village core inside East of Kailash, best known for the Garhi artists’ studios — original village homes, rebuilt rental blocks and working studio spaces sharing tight lanes. The buildings run single shared plastic tanks on old plumbing, and the occupancy pattern is unlike a family colony: artists working late, PG residents on shift timings and studio taps running at odd hours mean the tank is drawn on around the clock. Water that never stands still never settles clear — so the sediment stays suspended, invisible, and everyone assumes the tank is fine.
KaamGenie cleans Garhi’s always-busy tanks properly — drain, wet-vacuum of the sludge that only shows once the tank is emptied, soft jet-wash at plastic-safe pressure, soft-pad hand-scrub of the algae film and a food-grade disinfectant finish, with before-after photos that regularly surprise buildings that thought their water was clean. For the village core’s older RCC and shared storage, see our full water tank cleaning in Garhi page.
Sediment is only visible when it settles, and settling needs still water. In a family home the tank rests overnight and the morning’s first bucket shows any grit; in a Garhi rental block the 2 AM studio session and the 5 AM PG shift keep the tank turning over, holding fines in suspension so they pass evenly — and invisibly — through every tap. The tank floor still accumulates a sludge layer underneath the churn, but nobody ever sees the evidence in a glass.
The old village plumbing adds its share: decades-old pipes shed rust and grit into the shared tank, and lids on the crowded village-core roofs are rarely tight. Because no symptom forces the issue, Garhi tanks go longer between cleans than almost anywhere on our Lajpat Nagar round — and the before-after photos here are the most dramatic we take. A six-monthly cycle, booked by the landlord or pooled by the occupants, keeps a round-the-clock building genuinely clean rather than just apparently clean.
No travel charge anywhere in Garhi. The final price is confirmed on the call before we come — it depends only on tank size and access.

We reach every pocket of Garhi — and there’s no travel charge to any of them:
“Our water looks clear — how do we know the tank needs cleaning?” In Garhi, clear water is often the round-the-clock draw keeping sediment suspended and evenly diluted, not proof of a clean tank. The honest test is the tank floor itself: if it has been over a year, there is a sludge layer under the churn. Our before-after photos settle the question — and in this village they usually surprise people.
“Can you work around a studio or PG schedule?” Yes — odd hours are Garhi’s normal and ours too on this round. We fix the window with the building, typically mid-morning when studio and PG draw is lowest, and finish inside two hours so the tank refills before the evening rush. Occupants just need to fill buckets before we drain.
“What does the shared tank cost, and who pays?” ₹699 up to 500 litres and ₹899 for a standard 1000L tank. Who pays varies by building: landlords cover it in some, PG residents and studio tenants pool in others. Whoever books gets the dated certificate and photos — useful evidence for landlord conversations either way.
“Is old village plumbing a problem for the cleaning?” No, but we treat it with respect. We shut the inlet gently, never force corroded valves, and flag any fitting that looks ready to fail rather than touching it. The rust and grit that old pipes shed into the tank is precisely what the vacuum and plastic-safe jet wash remove — that is the core of a Garhi clean.
“How fast can you get here?” Garhi sits inside East of Kailash on our regular round, so call before 10 AM on 95603 66362 and same-day is usually possible. The lanes are tight but the crew walks compact equipment in from the approach road as standard — village-core access never changes the price or the schedule.
