Sitapuri is a small colony wedged between Dabri and the Pankha Road DDA belt — part C-block janta flats, part regularised village lanes. Sitting at the very tail of the supply network, it gets some of the weakest mains pressure in the belt, so most buildings run a two-stage system: supply dribbles into ground-level drums, and a pump lifts it to the plastic tank on the roof. Every vessel water rests in becomes a settling tank. “Do you clean the ground drums as well as the roof tank?” Yes, and in Sitapuri we strongly recommend doing both in one visit — a dirty drum re-contaminates a clean roof tank within weeks because the pump carries its sediment straight up. We drain, scrub and disinfect the drums with the same food-grade process as the tank.
“What does the combined clean cost?” The rooftop plastic tank is ₹699 up to 500 litres or ₹899 for 501-1,000L, and we quote the ground drums at a small add-on based on their size and number when you book. Most Sitapuri homes with one tank and two drums land well under what two separate visits would cost.
“Our pressure is so weak the tank takes hours to fill. Does that affect cleaning?” Only the scheduling — we clean when the tank is naturally low and time the finish so your pump can start the slow refill straight after disinfection.
