In Paschim Vihar’s societies the RWA cleans the big RCC banks on schedule — but the private Sintex tank a resident adds on the terrace sits on nobody’s schedule at all. KaamGenie cleans those add-on plastic tanks, gently and food-grade. From ₹699.
Paschim Vihar is a large DDA-planned colony along Rohtak Road — lettered A and B blocks, cooperative group-housing societies around the Paschim Vihar East and West metro stations, and plotted rebuilds in between. In the societies, block sumps and rooftop RCC banks are the RWA’s job; but plenty of residents have teed a personal Sintex tank off the line for extra storage, and that translucent add-on bakes in terrace sun growing an algae film the society’s annual contract never touches. The plotted lanes, meanwhile, run per-floor plastic tanks as standard.
KaamGenie cleans these private plastic tanks across the colony — drain, wet-vacuum the slimy bottom layer, soft jet-wash at plastic-safe pressure, hand-scrub with soft pads rather than wire brushes, then a food-grade disinfectant rinse with photos and a dated certificate. For society sumps, RCC banks or a coordinated whole-block job, see our main water tank cleaning in Paschim Vihar page; this one is about the Sintex and plastic tanks specifically.
The society system creates a blind spot. Because the RWA visibly maintains the shared storage, residents assume their water is looked after end to end — but the personal tank on the terrace is the owner’s responsibility, and it typically goes years uncleaned. Unlike the dark RCC bank below, its wall lets sunlight in, so the same society water that stays clear in concrete grows a green, slippery film inside the plastic within a season.
The outer blocks add borewell backup to the story. When society borewells top up the line, the harder water lays white scale inside the add-on tanks, and the small float valves on these tanks stick on that scale — jamming shut so the tank runs dry, or sticking open so it sheets water across the terrace. Rohtak Road dust through a loosely-set lid completes the mix. An annual clean with the float valve descaled and checked closes the gap the society schedule leaves open.
No travel charge anywhere in Paschim Vihar. The final price is confirmed on the call before we come — it depends only on tank size and access.

“The RWA already cleans our society tanks. Why would I book this?” The RWA contract covers the shared sump and RCC bank — not the personal Sintex tank you added on the terrace, which is the one growing algae behind its translucent wall. We clean just your tank without touching the society system, so there is no permission tangle and no gap in your own storage’s hygiene.
“What does a terrace Sintex tank cost to clean in the A or B blocks?” ₹699 up to 500 litres and ₹899 for 501-1,000 litres, including the wet-vacuum, plastic-safe jet wash, soft-pad scrub, food-grade disinfectant and dated certificate. If two or three neighbours in the same block book together we do the tanks in one visit, which is the cheapest way to cover a stairwell’s add-ons.
“My float valve sticks and the tank overflows onto the terrace. Can you fix that?” Very likely, yes. In the outer blocks, borewell top-ups scale the valve until it stops moving freely. During the clean we descale the inlet and float assembly, check its travel and seating, and tell you if the valve itself is worn enough to replace. Clearing the scale resolves most sticking floats on the spot.
“Can you come the same day near Paschim Vihar East metro?” Usually — call 95603 66362 before 10 AM and we can generally route a crew off the Rohtak Road round the same day. We schedule the drain against your society’s pumping hours so the tank refills on the next supply cycle rather than sitting empty overnight.
“Is the process safe for the plastic?” Yes. Jet pressure is set for plastic walls, scrubbing is done with soft pads, and the disinfectant is a food-grade product made for drinking-water storage, rinsed out completely before refill. We never put a wire brush on plastic — the micro-scratches it leaves are exactly where algae re-establish fastest.
