Society and commissioning tank cleaning for Bakkarwala — the new DDA EWS and LIG towers’ sumps and rooftop banks cleaned to handover standard, and the village core’s big borewell tanks descaled, on the outer western edge near the Mundka line. From ₹1,500 per tank.
Bakkarwala pairs two water worlds on the outer western edge: the old village core, borewell-fed with very hard water and large seldom-drained tanks, and the new DDA EWS and LIG flat clusters built for resettlement — proper tower blocks with society sumps and rooftop tank banks. New towers have a need most localities never see: commissioning cleans. Construction leaves cement fines, jointing debris and stagnant test-fill water in sumps and tanks, and allottees move in drawing from storage that was never cleaned after the builders left.
KaamGenie handles both worlds to their own standard. For the DDA towers we run society-scale programmes — sump entry under confined-space procedure, transfer pumps checked, every tank in the rooftop bank cleaned in sequence — whether as a first commissioning clean for newly occupied towers or the ongoing cycle for settled ones, with a consolidated certificate for the residents’ society or management. Village-core owners book the big-tank descale rounds the borewell water demands. For single tanks, see water tank cleaning in Bakkarwala.
A tower’s water system is the last thing finished and the first thing used, and the gap between shows up in the storage: cement fines from curing, PVC shavings and jointing compound from plumbing, dust from months of open hatches, and test-fill water that sat stagnant through handover. New allottees — often families making a fresh start in an EWS flat — inherit all of it in the first glass they draw. None of it is dangerous forever; all of it should have been removed before occupation, and almost never was.
A commissioning clean resets the tower to how it should have been handed over: sump scooped and jetted under proper confined-space safety, lines flushed, every rooftop tank scrubbed of construction residue and disinfected food-grade, and a documented baseline — photos and certificates — from which the society’s normal cycle can run. At ₹1,500 per tank with whole-tower pricing, it is a small line in a society’s first-year budget. The village core’s needs are the opposite kind of old: hard-water scale in big, seldom-drained tanks, where the same crews do descale-grade cleans on owner-pooled rounds.

Every locality in Delhi stores different water, and that decides how fast a tank fouls. This is Bakkarwala’s profile from The Delhi Water Index, built from our field observations across 250+ localities.
Indicative field characterisation, not a certified lab test. BIS IS 10500: TDS 500 mg/L acceptable, 2,000 permissible. Check any Delhi area →
“Our tower was just allotted — who books the commissioning clean?” Any organised group of allottees can — a forming residents’ society, a floor’s coordinators, or the management handling the handover. We survey the tower, quote the sump plus the full rooftop bank as one programme, and the certificate file becomes the society’s baseline water-hygiene record from day one.
“What does a whole-tower commissioning clean cost?” Rooftop tanks are ₹1,500 each and the sump is quoted by volume at survey; the whole-tower programme carries a consolidated discount, typically 15 to 20 percent under the per-tank rate. Split across a tower’s flats it is a modest one-time cost for starting on clean storage.
“Is sump entry safe in a new building?” Yes, done properly — new sumps still get full confined-space procedure: ventilation, gas check and a line on the entrant, because stagnant test-fill water can foul the air in any covered pit, new or old. Our crews carry the safety kit as standard on every Bakkarwala tower job.
“What about the village side’s big tanks?” The village core is a different job we know well: very hard borewell water and large tanks drained rarely, which means thick scale needing descale-grade work. Owners pool rounds across neighbouring homes for the discount, and we time drains to the borewell schedule so no household is left dry.
“How fast can you reach Bakkarwala?” Same-day for single urgent tanks booked before 10 AM, though the outer-edge location means morning bookings matter more here than mid-belt. Tower programmes and village rounds are scheduled visits — typically surveyed one day and cleaned within the week.
