How Long Does Tank Cleaning Take?

Every summer, DJB tankers top up Mahavir Enclave’s shared rooftop tanks — and every tanker load leaves a muddy layer that settles onto the base by August. KaamGenie clears the season’s silt across Parts 1, 2 and 3. From ₹699.
Mahavir Enclave runs as a dense strip between Palam and Dwarka Mor, divided into Parts 1, 2 and 3 — narrow plots, four-storey walk-ups heavy with tenants, and shops holding down the ground floors. Borewells carry the base load, but summers stretch them past capacity and DJB tankers fill the gap. Those tanker refills arrive visibly silty, and building after building shares a single rooftop tank where that silt quietly accumulates.
Our post-tanker clean is built for exactly this: drain the shared tank, scoop out the muddy base layer, pressure-wash walls that hold both silt film and borewell scale, hand-scrub the corners, disinfect with food-safe solution and hand over the photo-documented certificate. For everything beyond the rooftop units, see water tank cleaning in Mahavir Enclave.
Tanker water is drawn, hauled and hose-dumped — it arrives aerated and loaded with suspended particles that a rooftop tank then acts as a settling pond for. One load leaves a film; a summer of loads leaves a soft mud bed. Because the shared tanks here serve every floor plus often a shop, constant draw keeps re-suspending that mud, and tenants complain of earthy-tasting, faintly brown water by peak season.
The strip’s tenant economy means nobody owns the response: renters assume the landlord will act, landlords wait for complaints, and the shopkeeper below just wants water at all. The efficient pattern we push in Parts 1–3 is seasonal — one clean as tanker season winds down to remove the summer’s accumulation, one in early summer so the tank starts the hard months with full, clean capacity.
No travel charge anywhere in Mahavir Enclave. The final price is confirmed on the call before we come — it depends only on tank size and access.

“Our tanker-fed tank tastes earthy. Will cleaning fix the taste?” Almost always — the earthy taste is the settled tanker silt re-suspending into your supply, and removing the mud layer removes the taste at its source. The food-grade disinfection then deals with anything organic the silt carried. If a taste persists after a clean, the issue is upstream and we say so plainly.
“When in the year should we book, given the tanker top-ups?” Twice, ideally: as tanker season tapers in early autumn to clear the summer’s accumulated silt, and again in late spring so the tank enters the heavy months clean and at full capacity. Buildings that can only do one clean a year should pick the post-summer slot — it removes the most material.
“How is the price set for our building’s shared tank?” By tank size, not by number of users: ₹699 up to 500L and ₹899 for 501–1,000L. A tank shared across four floors and a shop still bills once, and most Mahavir Enclave buildings split it per floor. The certificate goes to whoever books — usually the owner or the ground-floor shopkeeper.
“Does the shop below lose water while you clean?” Only briefly. We coordinate the drain window with the shop’s slow hours, keep a reserve bucket supply available on request, and the tank is refilling by the next supply or tanker slot. Most Part 1–3 jobs run about two hours from lid-off to disinfected.
“Is same-day cleaning realistic in peak summer?” Summer is our busiest season in the enclave, but a call before 10 AM still secures same-day service more often than not — we add crews in the tanker months precisely for this strip. Booking a day ahead guarantees your slot; genuinely urgent contamination cases always jump the queue.
