On the crowded roofs above Ashram Chowk — between mobile towers, PG floors and shop storerooms — the shared plastic tank is the most neglected thing in the building. KaamGenie cleans it plastic-safe and food-grade. From ₹699.
Ashram is the belt where Ring Road meets Mathura Road — mixed-use buildings, PGs, guest houses and old DDA-era blocks packed around the metro station and the new underpass. Most buildings run commercial floors below and residential above, with plastic tanks squeezed between mobile towers and junk on crowded roofs. Heavy tenant churn means the shared Sintex tank belongs to nobody: tenants assume the landlord cleans it, the landlord assumes it was done, and years pass.
KaamGenie cleans Sintex and plastic tanks across the Ashram belt — draining, wet-vacuuming the sludge layer, soft jet-washing at a pressure set for plastic, hand-scrubbing the algae with soft pads and finishing with a food-grade disinfectant wash. Every job ends with before-after photos and a dated certificate the landlord can show tenants. For sumps and RCC tanks in the same building, see our full water tank cleaning in Ashram page.
Tenant churn is the core problem. A PG or guest-house floor changes hands every few months, so no occupant stays long enough to ask when the tank was last cleaned, and off-site landlords only hear about it when someone complains of smell or particles. Meanwhile the translucent plastic tank sits in full sun on an exposed roof, growing the green film that light and warmth always produce, and traffic dust from the Chowk and the underpass works settles through every gap in the lid.
The roofs themselves make it worse. Tanks here share space with mobile-tower equipment, cables and stored stock from the shops below, so lids get knocked ajar and never reseated, and the tank is hard even to look into, let alone clean casually. Our crew clears working access, cleans the tank properly and reseats the lid tight — and for buildings with guest-house or kitchen floors we recommend a fixed six-monthly cycle so hygiene never depends on who is renting that month.
No travel charge anywhere in Ashram. The final price is confirmed on the call before we come — it depends only on tank size and access.

We reach every pocket of Ashram — and there’s no travel charge to any of them:
“Our building has shops below and flats above — can you still clean the tank?” Yes, that is the standard Ashram building and we work around it. We coordinate a time with whoever holds roof access, usually early morning before the shops open, drain the shared plastic tank, clean and disinfect it plastic-safe, and have water back before the residential floors need it in the evening.
“What does it cost for the typical shared tank here?” Plastic tanks up to 500 litres are ₹699 and standard 1000L tanks are ₹899. Many Ashram roofs carry two or three tanks for different floors, and we quote a combined rate when we do them in one visit, which is how most landlords here book it — one appointment, every tank on the roof, one certificate.
“I run a PG — how often should the tank be cleaned?” Every four to six months for a PG or guest house, because occupancy is high, the tank refills constantly and your residents drink and cook from it. The dated certificate and photos we give also make a difference when prospective tenants or parents ask about water quality, which in this belt they increasingly do.
“Can you come the same day if tenants are complaining about the water?” Usually yes. Call before 10 AM on 95603 66362 and we can often reach an Ashram address the same day — the Chowk is central to our South East Delhi routes. A same-day drain, clean and disinfection is the fastest way to close a tenant complaint about smell, colour or particles in the supply.
“The roof is cluttered with tower equipment — is that a problem?” No, we deal with it on most Ashram jobs. The crew clears safe working space around the tank, keeps clear of the tower hardware and cabling, and puts everything back as found. If the lid has been knocked about or cracked by the clutter, we tell you and reseat or recommend a replacement lid.
