Tank Cleaning Near Me: Checklist

Masjid Moth runs two water worlds — DDA blocks with shared stair-tower tanks and village lanes with per-floor Sintex units — and 40-year-old plumbing feeds rust into both. KaamGenie cleans the plastic tanks gently, food-grade, with photos. From ₹699.
Wedged between GK-1, South Extension and the Moth ki Masjid monument, Masjid Moth is really two colonies in one: the DDA flats of Phases 1 to 3, where tanks sit shared on stair towers, and the old village core, now builder floors carrying a plastic tank per floor owner. DJB supply is reliable here, but the DDA-era plumbing is four decades old and sheds rust with every fill — and inside a white or beige Sintex tank that shows up as an orange ring around the waterline and rusty grit in the ribs of the floor.
KaamGenie cleans plastic and Sintex tanks across both sides of Masjid Moth — draining, wet-vacuuming the rust-and-sediment layer, jet-washing at plastic-safe pressure, hand-scrubbing stains with soft pads, then a food-grade disinfectant rinse with before-after photos and a dated certificate. If your DDA block also needs its shared RCC tank done, our full water tank cleaning in Masjid Moth page covers everything; this one focuses on the plastic units.
The colony’s DJB water is decent — the problem is what it travels through. Forty-year-old GI risers in the DDA phases corrode from the inside, so every filling cycle carries iron particles up into the tank, where they settle into the moulded floor ribs and stain the plastic orange. A downstream filter catches some of it, but the tank itself becomes the sediment trap, and stirred rust reaches the taps every time the ballcock refills after supply hours.
On the village side the tanks are newer but the roofs are busier: builder floors stack three or four family tanks side by side in full sun, and translucent walls let light in to grow algae over the rust layer. Cracked or warped lids — common on older village-lane tanks that have baked in UV for a decade — add monument-side dust and mosquito entry to the mix. Twice-a-year cleaning keeps both problems from reaching your kitchen.
No travel charge anywhere in Masjid Moth. The final price is confirmed on the call before we come — it depends only on tank size and access.

We reach every pocket of Masjid Moth — and there’s no travel charge to any of them:
“Do you cover all three DDA phases of Masjid Moth?” Yes — Phases 1, 2 and 3 plus the village core are all on our regular South Delhi routes. In the DDA blocks we clean the plastic tanks on the stair towers, and where a block wants its shared RCC tank done in the same visit we quote both together.
“Our Sintex tank has an orange ring inside — can that be removed?” Almost always, yes. That ring is iron staining from old GI pipes, and we lift it with a plastic-safe jet wash and soft-pad scrubbing rather than harsh chemicals or wire brushes that would scratch the wall. Deep decade-old staining may leave a faint shadow, but the surface comes out hygienic and smooth.
“What is the price for a per-floor tank in the village lanes?” A tank up to 500 litres is ₹699 and a 501–1,000 litre unit is ₹899. Village-side roofs here often hold three or four floor-owners’ tanks together, and doing them in one visit brings the per-tank cost down — worth coordinating with your neighbours.
“How long is the water off during cleaning?” Around two to three hours for a standard plastic tank, including drying time before the disinfectant rinse. We schedule around your DJB supply window so the tank refills soon after we finish — tell us your block’s timing and we plan the slot accordingly.
“Can you come today if we call in the morning?” Usually. Ring 95603 66362 before 10 AM and Masjid Moth — sitting right between our GK-1 and South Extension rounds — can normally be fitted in the same day. Later calls go to the next morning at a time that suits your supply hours.
