For a typical GK-1 or GK-2 independent house with a 4,000-litre underground sump and a 1,000-1,500L rooftop overhead, here’s the standard 3-hour visit:

1. Inspect both tanks, take before-photos with a torch so you can see the inside condition (10 min)
2. Drain the sump — pump out usable water into temporary drums for non-drinking use, dispose of the dirty bottom layer separately (40 min)
3. Manual scrubbing of sump walls and floor with food-grade brushes — the part that takes the longest (45 min)
4. Jet-wash the sump, then wet-vacuum out residual water (20 min)
5. Apply food-grade disinfectant, let it sit 20 minutes, rinse and vacuum again
6. Same process for the overhead tank, sequentially (40 min)
7. Final inspection, after-photos, refill, service certificate (15 min)

Family doesn’t need to be home throughout. We coordinate with one person — usually the household help or a family member — for entry. Photos and certificate go to the booking person on WhatsApp regardless.

Builder floors in M and N Blocks — how booking works

The builder floors in GK Markets are typically G+3 buildings with 4 flats sharing one rooftop tank. The most efficient way to handle these:

• One booking on behalf of all 4 flats — usually the ground-floor owner since they have rooftop access
• One bill, one cleaning visit — we don’t go up and down 4 times
• Cost split among the 4 flats — works out to ₹300-450 per flat for a standard 1,500L shared tank
