The plot-level underground sump under your Sarvodaya Enclave home takes the first fill and quietly stores the silt your pump lifts each day. We open, pump and disinfect it safely. From ₹1,499.
Sarvodaya Enclave is a planned colony of kothis and builder floors near Hauz Khas and SDA. Supply is DJB with some borewells, and most homes store the fill in a plot-level underground sump before pumping it to individual rooftop tanks. Because the colony is comfortably built and the sumps generous, water sits in the lower layers for a while, letting sediment settle out and gather quietly on the floor where nobody thinks to look between years.
Residents here keep their homes well and often arrange water tank cleaning in Sarvodaya Enclave for the rooftop tank. But the sump under the drive or side yard is the tank taking the raw first fill, and in a well-kept home it is usually the one part of the water system that has never been opened. On shared builder-floor plots it is also the tank no single owner claims. This page is specifically about that underground sump.
The sump takes the first fill from the DJB main and, where a borewell is used, hard mineral-rich water too. In a generous plot-level sump the water sits long enough for the suspended sand and grit to settle out fully and stay on the floor. Because normal household draw rarely disturbs the lower layers, that sediment is never flushed by ordinary use. Over a year of daily fills it compacts into a fine silt bed that only manual scooping and vacuuming will lift.
The sump stays dirty because it is out of sight. Tucked under the drive or a side utility area and sealed under a slab, it is easy to overlook for years while the visible rooftop tank gets its regular clean. It is a confined space with stale air, unsafe for a household worker to enter alone. Older Sarvodaya Enclave sumps also develop hairline cracks over time, and on these plots garden watering and groundwater can seep in through them and spoil the stored water.

“Do you clean plot sumps across Sarvodaya Enclave?” Yes. We clean underground sumps throughout Sarvodaya Enclave, from the main blocks to the builder floors near Hauz Khas and the SDA side. We bring proper confined-space gear and lighting and work tidily on the plot without disturbing the garden or drive more than necessary.
“What does it cost to clean a sump in Sarvodaya Enclave?” A small sump up to 1,000 litres is ₹1,499. A 1,001–2,000 litre sump is ₹1,799–2,200, and 2,001–5,000 litres is ₹2,500–3,500. Larger sumps are quoted by measured capacity. We give a clear fixed price before we start, with nothing added afterwards.
“Can you clean my sump the same day in Sarvodaya Enclave?” For a single home sump we can often do it the same day if you call early. If the sump is large or has never been opened, we may suggest a scheduled slot so we can ventilate, pump, scoop and dry-check it properly rather than rush a deep confined space.
“Why does my sump collect silt when we get reasonable water?” Even good DJB water carries fine suspended sand, and where a borewell is used the water is hard and mineral-heavy. In a generous sump the water sits long enough for all of it to settle, and the still lower layers are never flushed by normal use. So the silt simply builds up over the year and needs manual cleaning to clear.
“Should I be worried about cracks in an older Sarvodaya Enclave sump?” It is worth checking. After we pump and scrub the sump we do a dry-check of the walls and floor. Older sumps here can develop hairline cracks, and on these plots garden watering and groundwater seep in through them and keep the water cloudy. We photograph anything we find and advise whether it needs sealing before you refill.
