Shanti Niketan is a compact colony of large bungalows wedged between Anand Niketan, Vasant Vihar, and the diplomatic enclave. Despite its small footprint, it’s one of South Delhi’s most premium residential addresses — large plots, multi-floor bungalows, substantial water infrastructure per property.
The water-tank pattern matches the neighbourhood: every house has at least one underground sump plus multiple overhead tanks (usually 3 or more) serving different floors of the bungalow. Almost everyone is on DJB pipeline supply with borewell backup. Multi-tank bungalow visits are the standard booking pattern here, not individual flat cleanings.
Shanti Niketan bungalows tend to have more water infrastructure than smaller South Delhi homes. Typical setup: one large underground sump (3000-5000 litres) plus separate overhead tanks for the master suite, kids’ floor, kitchen-utility, sometimes staff quarters. All fed by a motor pump from the same sump. Each tank accumulates sediment at different rates depending on use.

"Can your crew work without disturbing the household? We have small children and elderly parents." Yes — this is a common requirement in Shanti Niketan. Our crew uses quieter electric vacuum equipment (not the noisy mechanical pumps), works in scheduled windows, and stays in the back-of-house areas (tank room, rooftop, sump area) without coming through living spaces. Total household disruption is usually about 30 minutes of partial water pressure during the empty-and-rinse phase.
"Do you provide a water quality test after cleaning?" Standard cleaning includes visual inspection and food-grade chlorine disinfection. For laboratory water quality testing (TDS, bacterial count, mineral analysis), we can arrange this through a partner lab for ₹800-1500 depending on the panel of tests. Most Shanti Niketan annual-contract customers include one test per year.
