Almost every property in Chanakyapuri proper — the bungalows in Anand Niketan, the older Moti Bagh quarters, the embassy bungalows off Shanti Path — was built between 1955 and 1975. That means most underground sumps here are concrete construction, built to last 50+ years, and many have never been deep-cleaned in their entire life.
The first time we open one of these sumps, residents are almost always surprised by what’s inside. Not because of bad construction — the concrete is usually fine — but because of what 30 or 40 years of slow sediment accumulation looks like. We’ve found 6 inches of compacted sludge, decomposed pigeons, broken inlet pipes that have been quietly leaking into the soil for years, and at one job in Niti Marg, a sealed half-bottle of liquor someone’s grandfather had hidden in the 1980s.

After the first deep clean is done properly, subsequent visits drop back to the normal 90-minute job. Most Chanakyapuri customers then move to twice-a-year AMC, which catches everything before it builds up.

“Our Anand Niketan bungalow has an underground concrete sump that was built in the 1970s. Can you still clean it safely?” Yes. Old Chanakyapuri sumps are something we open every week. The concrete construction is usually still sound; what often needs attention is the lid hinge (rusted shut), the inlet valve, and the overflow pipe. First cleanings take 2.5-3 hours and we usually flag what needs repair so you can decide separately. We don’t sell repairs you don’t need.
“We live in the Diplomatic Enclave — there are entry restrictions for non-residents. How does that work for your crew?” Send us your booking confirmation by WhatsApp at least 4 hours before the appointment. We’ll send the crew vehicle number and crew member names so you can register them with your gate security. Our crew carries ID. We’ve done this in Malcha Marg, Shanti Path, Niti Marg several times — no issues.
“Our Moti Bagh government quarter has a shared rooftop tank for the whole block. Can individual residents book?” Shared block tanks need approval from the CPWD office or the building RWA, not from individual flat owners. Once that’s in place, we work directly with the block maintenance contact. For individual quarter tanks (some Moti Bagh blocks have per-flat tanks on the roof), you can book directly without permission.
