DDA flat in J Pocket, builder floor in the new lanes near Kalkaji, society overhead near Alaknanda Apartments — whatever your tank, we'll clean it the same day where possible. Starting ₹600.
Alaknanda is mostly DDA flats from the 1980s, divided into pockets J, K, L and a few co-operative housing societies. Water is DJB-supplied through shared overhead tanks on each building — the typical 4-storey block has one 3000-5000L tank serving 8-12 flats. These shared tanks are exactly the ones nobody owns responsibility for; we get called when residents finally complain about taste or smell.
There's also a strip of newer builder floors near the Kalkaji side with individual flat tanks. Different work — smaller, faster, ₹600-750.
For a standard 1000-litre overhead tank, the whole job takes about 90 minutes from when we ring your doorbell to when we’re packing up. Underground sumps take a bit longer — usually 2 to 2.5 hours depending on how much sludge has built up.
You don’t need to provide anything. We bring our own water for the rinse, our own electricity backup if needed, vacuums, jet pumps, food-grade disinfectant, gloves, the works. We’ll show you photos of the tank before and after on WhatsApp once we’re done.
The typical Alaknanda DDA building has one 3000-5000L shared overhead tank serving 8-12 flats, and historically the cleaning falls into nobody's bucket — the RWA either doesn't exist or doesn't budget for it. When we get called, it's usually a single resident who's tired of cloudy water and wants to organise. We can either bill them individually (₹1,200-1,500 for the shared tank) or set up an RWA contract where the cost gets split. Splitting across 10 flats works out to ₹120-150 per flat per cleaning, which most residents are happy with once they see the photos.
The newer builder floors near the Kalkaji side often have individual 500-750L tanks per flat. Faster, simpler work — ₹600-750, done in 60-75 minutes. Most bookings here are from new tenants moving in.
"Our RWA doesn't function. Can I just book the shared tank myself?" Yes — we'll quote you ₹1,200-1,500 for the typical 3000-5000L shared tank and you can decide whether to recover from other flats. We've done this dozens of times in Alaknanda.
"How do I get other residents to share the cost?" We give you before/after photos and a written quote with date and tank capacity. Most residents agree once they see the sediment that came out. Some RWAs use this to start a regular schedule.
"Tank water tastes earthy after monsoon — is that a cleaning issue?" Usually yes. Post-monsoon sediment is common, even in tanks cleaned 6 months earlier. A single ₹1,200 visit fixes it for the next 5-6 months.
