Jungpura is mostly old Delhi residential pockets — kothis from the 1970s and 80s, builder floors on top of them, the odd new condo. Water is mostly DJB supply with some borewell backup, which means cleaner water than the south Delhi farmhouse belt but tanks that haven't been opened in a decade often still have surprising amounts of sediment. The Jangpura Extension side is similar, with slightly newer construction.
Bhogal lanes are narrower and parking is tight, so we usually hand-carry equipment in. Hasn't been a problem yet — adds 5-10 minutes per job, doesn't change the price.
For a standard 1000-litre overhead tank, the whole job takes about 90 minutes from when we ring your doorbell to when we’re packing up. Underground sumps take a bit longer — usually 2 to 2.5 hours depending on how much sludge has built up.
You don’t need to provide anything. We bring our own water for the rinse, our own electricity backup if needed, vacuums, jet pumps, food-grade disinfectant, gloves, the works. We’ll show you photos of the tank before and after on WhatsApp once we’re done.
Most A and B Block kothis have an overhead tank that was installed when the building was made and hasn't been changed since. The lid is usually cracked or warped from sun exposure, which means leaves, dust and even the occasional pigeon end up inside. We replace lids on the spot if needed (₹500-700) — much easier than waiting weeks for a plumber. The tanks themselves are usually fine structurally; just need a proper deep clean and maybe a descaling treatment.
The 3-storey builder floors in Jangpura Extension typically have one shared overhead tank on the terrace. Tenants change every couple of years, none of them know when it was last cleaned, and the landlord usually doesn't either. We do these as single-visit bookings — ₹900-1100 for the typical 1500L tank — and leave a small sticker inside the lid with the cleaning date so the next tenant knows.
"Our A Block kothi has 3 separate tanks on different floors. Do you do them all in one visit?" Yes — ₹600 for the first tank, ₹400-500 each for additional tanks in the same visit. Whole job takes about 2 hours for three standard 1000L tanks.
"Can your van fit in the Bhogal lanes?" The wider Bhogal main lane is fine. The narrower inner lanes (especially behind Mathura Road) we walk in. Adds 5-10 minutes, doesn't change the price.
"Do you serve the Mathura Road embassy side?" Yes — the diplomatic side of Jangpura is similar work. Most of those properties prefer scheduled cleanings every 6 months, which we can set up as a small contract.
