From Jawahar Park plot houses to DDA flats near Khanpur Main Road, kothi sumps off Bandh Road to builder floors on Devli Extension — we clean tanks across every Khanpur pocket. Same-day booking where possible, starting ₹600.
Khanpur sits inside our daily service radius in South Delhi, which is why response times here are some of the fastest we offer anywhere in the city. Most water tank cleaning companies list dozens of areas they "serve" but don’t actually have crew anywhere nearby. We do — if you book before lunch in Khanpur, we’re almost certainly at your gate the same afternoon, sometimes within an hour if our nearby job wraps up early.
Khanpur itself is a real mix. Jawahar Park and the older lanes are mostly plot houses with sump-plus-overhead-tank setups, many of them 30-40 years old. The DDA blocks have individual flat tanks. Bandh Road kothis tend to be larger plots with bigger underground sumps. And the Devli Extension side is mostly built-up authorised colonies with shared overhead tanks on builder floors. Each of these has its own pattern of what we typically find when we open the lid.
Most of Khanpur runs on a mix of borewell water and DJB pipeline supply, with tankers filling the gap when neither is enough. Sonia Vihar pipeline does reach Khanpur, but pressure is patchy — most households still keep the borewell running for daily use. That mix is what causes the typical Khanpur tank problem: high mineral content from groundwater plus occasional sediment from tanker fills, layering up at the bottom of the tank within 4-5 months.
If you’re in a plot house with both a sump and overhead tank (the most common Khanpur setup), the sump usually has it worse. Sumps sit underground, are sealed under driveways or front yards, and rarely get opened — we’ve done first-clean-in-15-years jobs more times than we can count just within Khanpur itself. The overhead tank looks fine because the water that goes into it is “clean” tanker or pipeline supply, but if the sump beneath it is sludgy, everything gets recontaminated within a week.
Standard 1000-litre overhead tank in a Khanpur flat: about 90 minutes door-to-door. Combined sump + overhead in a plot house: 2 to 2.5 hours. You don’t need to provide anything — we bring our own rinse water in jerry cans, vacuums, jet pumps, food-grade chlorine disinfectant, scrubbing brushes, the works. We’ll send you before-and-after photos on WhatsApp once we’re done, with the GST invoice.
Most Khanpur plot houses follow the same blueprint: underground concrete sump under the front yard or driveway, overhead plastic tank on the roof, motor pump moving water from one to the other. When residents call about cleaning, they almost always mean the overhead tank — that’s the one they can see, the one they think about. But the sump is doing most of the work and getting none of the attention.
Our advice for any plot house in Khanpur (and we say this whether or not you book with us): get the sump cleaned every time you clean the overhead. The price difference is usually ₹800-1000 extra to do both, and it actually saves you money long-term because cleaning just the overhead means you’ll be doing it again in 3 months instead of 6.
The DDA blocks in Khanpur (the older 80s/90s buildings) mostly have individual flat tanks — meaning each apartment has its own rooftop tank, not a shared society tank. This is easier to book and clean: ₹600-750, 90 minutes, no RWA approval needed. The few newer Khanpur DDA buildings that do have shared overhead tanks need the building secretary or RWA to authorise the booking, but we’re happy to help coordinate with them — we’ve done it plenty of times in Jawahar Park and the neighbouring blocks.
"Does KaamGenie cover all of Khanpur?" Yes — every pocket. Jawahar Park, Khanpur Main Road, Devli Extension, Bandh Road kothis, the DDA blocks, and the lanes off the Khanpur–Sangam Vihar boundary. Response times here are some of the fastest in South Delhi because Khanpur is well inside our daily service radius.
"My Khanpur house has a sump under the front lawn and an overhead tank on the roof. Do you clean both?" Yes, and we’d actually recommend cleaning both in the same visit. The sump pumps water up to the overhead tank, so cleaning just the overhead while leaving sediment in the sump means deposits get pumped right back. Combined cleaning runs ₹2000-2500 and takes about 2.5 hours.
"We’re in a Khanpur DDA flat — is there a shared society tank or do individual flats have their own?" Depends which DDA block. Most older Khanpur DDA blocks have individual rooftop tanks per flat. The newer few buildings have shared rooftop tanks, which need RWA approval to clean.
